His Excellency the UQU President, Prof. Abdullah Bafail, today, Sunday, launched the Alumni Portal to link the UQU graduates with the employers to enhance their chances of getting job offers.

The Dean of Academic Development and Quality, Dr. Saeed Kabrah, underlined that the new portal aims to connect the UQU graduates with the various institutions and employers, and that it will be linked to professional websites, such as "LinkedIn" and "Research Gate". The graduates will be able to update their CVs on the portal constantly, which will allow them to access their academic records and submit requests and recommendations.

The platform also provides an opportunity to harness the students' skills by organizing volunteer campaigns that give them hands-on professional experience, and also allows the employers to offer their available job opportunities. This is in addition to following up on the graduates and celebrating their professional accomplishments and successes after their graduation.

On his part, His Excellency the President of Umm Al-Qura University stressed the university's keenness to take care of its graduates, harness their skills and capabilities, celebrate their successful cadres and their qualitative achievements, seek to meet their needs, and pave the way for them to start their career and contribute to serving this country.
