UQU Celebrates Graduation of 15600 Students

Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the Emir of Makkah HRH Prince Khalid Al-Faisal will sponsor graduation of the 65th  batch of Umm Al-Qura students for the academic year 1437/1438 H amounting to 7335 students in all academic levels on Thursday Jumada Al-Thani 10, 1438 H at Abdyia campus, King Saud Hall. 
Furthermore, the University will celebrate graduation of the 44th batch of its female students amounting to 8300 on Jumada Al-Thani 12, 1438 H at Abdyia campus, King Saud Hall.


On this occasion, the UQU President Dr. Bakri bin M'atooq bin Bakri Assas glorified the support the university receives from our wise leadership, meanwhile lauding the sponsorship and attention paid by the Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Emir of Makkah HRH Prince Khalid Al-Faisal to this year's graduation ceremony and continuous follow up  of the Minister of Education Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Al-Ieesa.  


During a press conference held in this regard at his office at the university campus in Abdyia in the presence of the UQU Vice President for Educational Affairs, Dr. Abdul-Aziz bin Rashad Al-Sorouji, the Dean of Students Affairs, Dr. Taha bin Amro Al-Saggaf and the Dean of the Admission and Registration Dr. Hashim Al-Samadani, the UQU President said: thanks to Allah and then to the potentials and physical support provided for it,  the university has made rapid strides in the different scientific, research and innovative field. He added that the university is proud to graduate this new batch of the nation's sons after been equipped with all types of knowledge and sciences from the different scientific, theoretical and medical colleges to be constructive figures in their community and participate in the comprehensive development currently witnessed in our beloved Kingdom.


" This batch is the biggest to be graduated in the history of the university in Makkah and its branches at Jamoum, Al-Lith, Adhm and Al-Qunfudhah provinces", he added saying the university includes 35 colleges and scientific institute, 119 departments besides 215 scientific, theoretical and medical majors. He went on to add that the university offers more than 550 programs wishing these programs to meet the  needs of the community and the requirements of the development plans in accordance with the Kingdom vision 2030.  


Further, Dr. Assas explained that the university currently offers different types of majors and offers BA, MSc and PhD in Sharia, Arabic Language, Education, Social and Applied Sciences, Medicine and Engineering and  the university includes about 110 thousand students in all its campuses in Makkah and branches outside of Makkah.  


Within the same vein, the Dean of Admission and Registration Dr. Hashim Al-Samadani said the university celebrates graduation of the 65th batch amounting to 7335 male students and the 44 th batch amounting to 8300 female students for the current academic year 1437/1438 H totaling to 15600 students. He added that the celebrated students incudes 6222 from the bachelor level, 696 from the diploma level, 239 from the MSc level and 47 from the PhD level, whilst the graduated female students  includes 7360 from the Bachelor level, 772 from the diploma level, 111 from the MSc level and 57 from the PhD level. 


For his part, the Dean of Students Affairs Dr. Taha bin Amro Al-Saggaf underscored that the dean ship will organize and implement the graduation ceremony which will include a number of programs such as the graduation march, honoring of the excellent students, Operetta besides a visual presentation about the university. He added that  the dean ship this year has designed for the first time graduation ring blended with the university slogan to offer it as a gift for the graduate male and female students to be as a favorite memory from the university. 


At the conclusion, he wished all success to male and female students in their future endeavors.
