College of Applied Medical Sciences of the Umm Al-Qura University (UQU) participated in a training course titled “Nutrition and disease”, in cooperation with the Training Center for Health Training and the Mizan Health Center for Therapeutic Feeding.
The course was held on Saturday 29-5-1438H/25-2-2017 in the conferences hall at Al-Azhar Hotel for nutrition specialists, students and those working in the nutrition field at the Health Ministry in Jeddah.
The course was attended by Dr Eslam Ahmed Haydar and Dr Omar Abdel Mordi Rezq (clinical nutrition department), Dr Naser Ahmed al-Sawi and Dr Sameh Mohamed Baz (laboratory medicine department). The course was supported by director of the center, Dr Ibrahim Abdullah al-Arifi, and the general coordinator of the course, Mr Emad Ahmed Lotfi Abbas.
This participation comes as part of activities organized by the departments of clinical nutrition and laboratory medicine for the academic year 1437-38 with the support of the Dean of Applied Medical College, His Excellency Dr Ahmed bin Mohamed Ashai, with a view to activating the role of the college’s teaching staff in boosting the health level and community service.
