The College of Shari`ah and Islamic Studies Holds a Meeting for Its New Students Entitled: ‘Illuminations’

The Student Council of the College of Shari`ah and Islamic Studies offered a meeting entitled: ‘Illuminations’. The meeting was held for the new female students in the College of Shari`ah and Islamic Studies through the Zoom program. The video footage of the meeting was shown at 7 p.m. on Thursday, 15 Muharram 1442 A.H. It was attended by a group of new students from the Department of Shari`ah and the Department of History.

The themes of the meeting included the importance of Shar`i knowledge and the keenness that should be manifested toward sincerely acquiring it, and also the importance of studying history.

The meeting mentioned the major courses that familiarize students with the most significant events. It also highlighted the importance of memorizing Matn (texts of hadiths) and references, in addition to learning how to organize time properly.

Moreover, it listed some supporting references for Al-Rawd Al-Murabba`, Rawdat Al-Nazir, and other scientific research. During the meeting, the Vice Dean of the College of Shari`ah, Prof. Nourah Al-Mihmadi, said a word about the importance of knowledge and the key factors that can help students throughout their academic careers. At the end of the meeting, an "Overview of the Student Advisory Council" was presented.

The programs of the meeting were presented and organized by: Al-Bandari Muhammad Al-Subai`i, Arroub Al-Ghamidi, Dima Shuraim, Tahani Al-Twaim, Rasil Al-Swailem, and Lama Al-Hitirshi.

The preparation and coordination of the meeting was supervised by the President of the Student Council, Jadwa Al-Tuwaijri, and her deputy, Lujain Zafar.

At the end of the meeting, Her Excellency the Vice Dean of the College of Shari`ah and Islamic Studies, Prof. Nourah Al-Mihmadi, presented a certificate of thanks and appreciation to the Student Council, in recognition of their efforts.
