The Department of English announced that starting from the current semester of the academic year 1442 A.H., the English courses (701101-2 / 731101-2) would no longer be pass/fail courses. These courses will be ‘taught courses’ in which the student will earn credits that will count toward the overall GPA. The department explained that these courses would be taught via Blackboard virtual classrooms, and the assigned textbook would be: New Headway Beginner Students’ Book, by John & Liz Soars (Oxford University Press, 2011).
