The forum will be held virtually via videoconference during the period from 12–14 Muharram, 1442 A.H., under the auspices of His Excellency the UQU President Prof. Abdullah Bafail.
The Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Omar Sunbul, stated that the forum aims to introduce new students to the academic majors and the Joint First Year. It also provides a detailed explanation of the services provided by the various university departments, colleges and administrations to the students. These services contribute to informing the students of their duties and rights during their academic progress at the university.
Dr. Omar Sunbul stated that through this forum the university seeks to review the programs launched by the deanship through its various units and vice deanships. In addition, the UQU also seeks to enhance communication and learning skills through training and facilitate the university authorities participation in implementing its various activities. This is in order to develop students' skills and refine their talents and cognitive potential.
On his part, the Vice Dean for Activities and Student Training, Dr. Yasser Al-Hazmi, stressed the university’s keenness to present the forum in an interactive way and to facilitate procedures for the students via the electronic platform, which is divided into four different tracks. The first track is dedicated to the support entities that serve the student; the second is for the academic colleges; the third is for the Deanship of Student Affairs and its programs; and the fourth track is for the fifty student clubs and the ways to join them.
On her part, the Vice Dean for Activities and Student Training, Dr. Nahlaa Hariri, added that the forum includes direct meetings with representatives of colleges and university bodies to enable students to ask their inquiries and benefit from the information provided to them.
