The Committee of Deans of Saudi Medical Colleges organized its 35th meeting on Thursday Jumada Al-Oula 19, 1438 H. The meeting that discussed several topics on its agenda, was hosted by the UQU College of Medicine at King Faisal Hall at the university campus in Abdyia.
At the commencement of the meeting, the Dean of the College of Medicine at Umm Al-Qura University Dr. Anmar Nassir welcomed the participants and wished their meeting to make recommendations serving the educational system and development of work in the medical educational field in accordance with the international criteria and standards, indicating that the meeting is organized in line with the national transformation plan and the Saudi vision 2030. He lauded the support of the UQU President Dr. Bakri Assas which contributed to the success of the agendas of this meeting. He also praised all those who contributed to the preparation of this meeting which will have positive impact on the development of the academic programs in the Saudi universities medical colleges.
Meanwhile, the Deans of the medical colleges reviewed and discussed recommendations of the previous meeting and the recommendations of the 8th medical profession day conference. They have also reviewed the final draft of the strategic plan of the committee and discussed results of the study submitted by Dr. Mohamed bin Yahia Al-Shihri in the field of medical education. At the conclusion the meeting reviewed the proposal for conducting developmental study for the curriculum of the medical colleges based on Saudi med document which was designed in line with the national transformation plan in the health sector and the project of students' clubs meeting.
