UQU won one of the first places in the first version of the sports commentary competition “Voice of the Match”, which was launched for the first time by Al-Kass Qatari TV.

Abdulrahman Saeed Al-Tuhami, student at the College of Social Sciences, Media Department, was amongst the six winners of the “Voice of the Match” competition. The competition aims at providing the opportunity for talented youth from the Arab World to discover new sports commentators. Over 4,000 participants from the Arab World have participated in the competition, which was divided into four stages, one at a time.  186 participants were nominated in the first stage, of whom only 27 were nominated to the fourth and final stage. In the final stage, the six winners; amongst whom was UQU’s student Abdulrahman Al-Tuhami, won the opportunity to experience sports commentary in Al-Kass Qatari TV.
