The College of Engineering in Al-Qunfudhah, under the patronage of the Department of Industrial Engineering, held the second episode of the ‘Spotlights on Industrial Engineering’ series under the title: "Outputs of Learning, Summer Training, and Professional Development in Responding to the Requirements of the Labor Market". This took place on Monday, 6 Sha`ban 1441 A.H., via the Webex Meet program. His Excellency Dr. Ayman Al-Falih, the Head of the Department of Industrial Engineering and Supervisor of the Summer Training Department, moderated the session.
Prof. Muhammad Al-Amin, the Director of the Training Center of the National Aquaculture Group, was the host of this episode. During this session, a discussion was held on how to link the theoretical knowledge acquired by the students during their study period with the practical training and implementing what they learned in their training experience. Moreover, there was a discussion on the importance of learning outcomes in meeting the requirements of the labor market. Following this, the floor was opened to questions from the students, who received adequate answers to all their questions and queries about the summer training.
This session comes within the framework of the interest of His Excellency the Dean of the College of Engineering in Al-Qunfudhah, Dr. Alawi bin Muhammad Bamahdi, in providing the best services for our students. It is also part of his efforts to harness all work and administrative experience that we have in a manner that serves the college's students as well as the educational process, in line with the directives of the UQU President, Prof. Abdullah Bafail.
