The College of Engineering in Al-Qunfudhah has nominated the student Ibrahim Yahia Ibrahim Al-Zubaidi for the "University Role Model" title after winning the title of "College Role Model".، All participating students in the College Role Model Contest presented their university achievements and contributions, community contributions, and self-development programs in which they have been involved to the judging committee. This took place during the first stage of the fourth season of the UQU Role Model Contest. The contest was held as part of the UQU initiatives, which is in line with the comprehensive vision of the Makkah Region adopted by His Royal Highness Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Prince of Makkah Region. This vision focuses on the strategy of building humanity and developing the society, under the slogan: "How to Be a Role Model".
The result came after the nomination and selection of the judging committee, which was composed of Their Excellencies Dr. Ahmad Hasan Baghdadi, Vice Dean of the College of Engineering; Dr. Ayman Al-Falih, Head of the Department of Industrial Engineering; and Engineer Ibrahim Murie Al Murie, Head of the Department of Construction Engineering.
The judging committee chose the winner after a process of selection and elimination of the two students participating. The participants were: Ibrahim Yahia Al-Zubaidi and Faisal Belqasim Al-Madawisi (who is a substitute candidate for the UQU role model).
The contest aims at contributing to enhance the student's self-confidence, spreading the culture of setting an example among the male and female students of the university, and fostering a creative and competitive environment that motivates the male and female students of Umm Al-Qura University.
