The Media Department in the College of Social Sciences, Umm Al-Qura University, offered a course on "Digital Content Production on Social Media". The course was presented by the postgraduate student at Umm Al-Qura University and Director of Marketing and Corporate Communications in King Abdullah Medical City, Mr. Hatem Al-Masoudi. He discussed the importance of digital content creation, based on statistical reports that showed that 93% of the population of Saudi Arabia use the Internet. He pointed out that digital content creation is the way to strike gold in the new media, if it is invested by practitioners of media work in an optimal way.
Mr. Al-Masoudi mentioned the six dimensions of content creation, which represent a key factor for achieving the goals of the sponsoring body or the body responsible for creation of the content, and how it can be reflected correctly. The Head of the Media Department, Dr. Salem Urijah, expressed his pleasure at the great interaction that the course received by the students of the Media Department, and stated that the exchange of experience is an important requirement to advance the scientific process.
