Dean of University Studies for Girls Launches Laboratory Unit at the Medical Center Branch

Dean of University Studies for Girls Dr. Hala bint Saeed Al-Amoudi launched on Wednesday Rabie Al-Thani 27, 1438 H the laboratory unit at the medical center branch in the Deanship of University Studies for Girls. The inauguration ceremony was attended by  the Vice Dean of Development and Educational Affairs prof. Shaikha bint Saud Ashour and the Deputy Director of the Medical Center, females section Dr. Thoryia bint AbulWahab Al-Tayeb.  

 


Following the inauguration ceremony, Dr. Hala and the accompanying delegation toured the laboratory unit and listened to an elaborate presentation by the Deputy Director of the Medical Center Dr. Thoryia Al-Tayeb on how to use the devices such as the Complete Blood Count-CBC of the blood components (red blood cells, white blood cells and blood platelets), and Thyroid (TSH) Hormone Testing Kits, besides the assisting medical and office equipment necessary for operating the laboratory unit which will contribute Allah willing,  to upgrading level of therapeutic services provided by the medical center branch in the females section. 

 


Meanwhile, Dr. Thoryia explained that the center is aimed at diversifying therapeutic services provided for the female affiliates of the university including faculty members and female students and upgrading them to provide the best services for them indicating the medical center has always sought and still to develop its work system and improve quality of the therapeutic services.

 

On his part, the Director General of the University Medical Center Dr. Yassir bin Hassan Ba Hakeem said that the basic laboratory tests which will be provided for all the students and affiliates of the Deanship of University Studies for Girls though the laboratory branch is an endeavor to maintain quality of the therapeutic  and preventive services  provided for them by the University Medical Center and its branches in the females HQs. He lauded the support attached to the center and its branches by the UQU President Dr. Bakri Assas and the close follow up of the UQU Vice President Dr. Yassir Shoushou to whatever upgrades the level of the therapeutic and preventive services provided by the center and its branches. He extended his thanks and appreciation to the Dean of University Studies for Girls Dr. Hala Al-Amoudi for attending the inauguration of this unit. He also praised all staff of the university medical center at the females HQ for their efforts and active participation.
