His Excellency the UQU President, Prof. Abdullah Bafail, received in his office today, Thursday, the Branch Manager of the Ministry of Economy and Planning in Makkah, Dr. Mashail Al-Utaibi, to discuss ways of development and economic cooperation, in the presence of a number of UQU vice presidents and ministry officials.
The two parties discussed how to enhance their cooperation to achieve sustainable and comprehensive economic development, and lay down a strong basic structure of consulting studies to upgrade the economic development plans in the Saudi Kingdom. The meeting highlighted the necessity of informational and statistical support, in addition to sharing and taking advantage of local knowledge.
His Excellency the President of Umm Al-Qura University stressed the keenness of UQU on achieving cooperation with the ministry and providing financial and administrative resources that contribute to the improvement of the academic atmosphere. He further indicated the UQU concern for enhancing integrated work with different sectors, launching development initiatives, and developing cognitive interaction and scientific research.
