The College of Applied Medical Sciences signed a joint cooperation agreement yesterday with the Riyadh Regional Laboratory. The agreement aims to build a scientific and research partnership between the two parties, and develop ways of cooperation in the field of medical services and community service in accordance with the highest international standards.
The agreement was signed on behalf of the college by the Acting Dean of the College, Dr. Muhammad bin Uthman Al-Karbi, with the Director General of Health Affairs in Riyadh Region, Dr. Muhammad Al-Tuwaijri. This took place in the presence of the Director of the Riyadh Regional Laboratory and Blood Bank, Dr. Kamel bin Muhammad Al-Dusari, and a number of employees of the laboratory.
Dr. Al-Karbi praised the role of the Riyadh Regional Laboratory and Blood Bank in Riyadh, which ranks first in the Middle East in the field of medical laboratories, achieving many records and receiving many international certificates.
He said that the agreement comes within the framework of the keenness of the college to enhance external channels of communication at the academic and professional levels, exchange experience, realize common interests, enter into fruitful partnerships, and achieve knowledge growth, all of which contribute to achieving the goals of the Saudi Vision 2030. He also indicated that this partnership will provide an opportunity to train college students at the facilities of the Riyadh Regional Laboratory, noting the importance of cooperation between the various government sectors in promoting and developing educational and training mobility and in qualifying national personnel.
