On Tuesday, 1 Rajab 1441 A.H., the Department of Construction Engineering at the College of Engineering in Al-Qunfudhah organized a field visit for the college students to Al-Martan Concrete Factory. This visit comes within the series of the ‘Professional Field Engineer’ program. The students learnt about the materials and other substances needed to manufacture concrete, and the necessary tests to ensure the quality of the concrete. Moreover, they were informed of the designs and composition of various types of concrete mixes.
The students were accompanied by His Excellency the Head of the Department of Construction Engineering, Eng. Ibrahim bin Murie Al Murie, and the Laboratory Technician at the College, Eng. Abdullah Ahmad Al Bazghifan.
This visit comes within the framework of the colleges’ interest in the quality of its outputs and in graduating well-qualified engineers to fulfill the needs of the job market, in line with the vision and development directions of the country.
