His Excellency the President of Umm Al-Qura University, Prof. Abdullah Bafail, at this office today, received the Consul General of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr. Agos Motamar, to boost cooperation with Indonesian universities and discuss affairs of the scholarship students. The meeting was held in the presence of His Excellency the Dean of the Institute of Arabic Language for Non-Native Speakers, Dr. Hasan Bukhari.
His Excellency UQU President welcomed the cooperation, stressing that the university will provide support in this regard with knowledge competencies and scientific curricula. He referred to the importance of promoting and exchanging knowledge and educational experience between the two countries, in all sectors.
On his part, the Consul General of the Republic of Indonesia expressed his thanks for the efforts provided by the university in teaching the students of the Muslim world the correct balanced methodology and the moderate Islamic thought. He then expressed his desire to increase fields of scientific and development cooperation.
