A delegation from Umm Al-Qura University, headed by the Vice President for Female Student Affairs, Dr. Sarah Al-Khuli, participated in the ‘Female Academic Leaders in Saudi Universities’ Forum in Dammam. The forum was organized by the Vice Presidency for Female Student Affairs at Imam Abdul-Rahman bin Faisal University in Dammam, in cooperation with King Abdullah University of Science and Technology.
Dr. Al-Khuli stressed the pivotal role of women leaders in supporting the strategies of academic organizations and raising the efficiency of their staff to achieve their goals, especially in light of the transition to the new system in Saudi universities.
The forum reinforced the new university system, as well as the role of the leaders of change in building a vision characterized by inspirational leadership. This was through discussing the most common concepts in the areas of academic empowerment and knowledge exchange, to present optimal styles of leadership.
Each of the Assistant Vice President for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Samira Al-Fifi, the Dean of the College of Designs, Dr. Rania Abdul-Rahman, and the Dean of the College of Nursing, Dr. Fatimah Al-Sulami, also participated in the forum.
