The English Language Center at Umm Al-Qura University organized a meeting in Wadi Makkah to introduce many international publishers in the field of teaching English. The meeting aimed to upgrade and develop curricula and achieve the highest quality standards. It was attended by the supervisor of the Vice Presidency for Educational Affairs, Dr. Ahmad Babalghaith, with the participation of managers of English language centers and institutes from the Universities of King Abdulaziz and Taif.

The Director of the English Language Center, Dr. Ahmad bin Hatim Qadi, stated that holding these workshops and meetings falls within the framework of joint cooperation between universities and the exchange of experiences in order to achieve the best outcomes and develop students' language skills according to the latest curricula.

In his office, the President of the University honored the Dean of Supportive Studies and Director of the English Language Center at Taif University, Dr. Mansour Sa`id Al-Malki; the Deputy Director for Educational Affairs at the English Language Institute, King Abdulaziz University, Dr. Mazen Ibrahim Asiri; the Deputy Director for Postgraduate Studies at the English Language Institute, King Abdulaziz University, Dr. Turki Jabr Al-Sulami; and the Head of the Curriculum and Examinations Development Unit, Michael Taylor.
