The UQU Department of Safety organized an awareness course on safety for the female staff of Al-Qunfudhah University College (female section). Mr. Aqeel Al-Thibi, the Office Supervisor at Al-Qunfudhah branch, delivered the course in the presence of the Maintenance Office Supervisor, Mr. Hasan Al-Faqih.
At the beginning of the event, Mr. Aqeel introduced some safety tools, such as fire extinguishers, and the mechanism of dealing with them, as well as different types of fires. A practical application on dealing with fire extinguishers was undertaken by doing a small fire simulation. Moreover, the components of the fire alarm board and how to deal with it were explained, in addition to how to use it.
The course was attended by the Vice Dean of Al-Qunfudhah University College, Dr. Sharifah Al-Hazimi, the Vice Dean of the College of Medicine, Dr. Nawal Al-Hazimi, and a large number of female staff, under the supervision and coordination of the Director of the Administrative Development Unit, Ms. Laila Al-Khairy.
