The students of the UQU College of Applied Sciences participated in the 11th Winter Enrichment Program at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology. The number of participants reached 13 male students and 42 female students from the various disciplines of the college.
The event included lectures, workshops, and scientific exhibitions covering emerging topics in the field of science and healthcare. These were presented by the most prominent scientists and innovators from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and around the world, including Shuji Nakamura, Professor of Medical Information and Nobel Laureate, and Dr. Ahmad Al-Barrak, who works as a principal researcher in the laboratory of the Saudi Human Genome Program at King Fahd Medical City, in addition to other speakers.
This participation comes within the framework of the keenness of the College of Applied Sciences to establish social partnerships with the various community institutions. It also aims to offer research partnership opportunities with the different research agencies, and expand the horizon of participation for the students.
