Umm Al-Qura University and Al-Arabiya Channel Discuss the Training Cooperation and Strategic Prospects to Highlight Hajj and Umrah Studies

His Excellency Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, UQU President, today had a meeting with # the Regional Director of Al-Arabiya Channel, Mr. Muhammad Hakami, to boost aspects of cooperation and put into effect the partnership signed between the two sides. The meeting was attended by the General Supervisor of the General Administration of Institutional Communication in the university, Dr. Abdullah Al-Shinqiti.

Prof. Bafail congratulated Mr. Al-Hakami for being appointed as the Regional Director of Al-Araiya Channel, wishing him success in producing and broadcasting his media message through the first news channel on the Arab level. He pointed out that the existing strategic partnership with Al-Arabiya Channel represents a distinctive model of an effective partnership, demonstrated in the fruitful cooperation between the two parties in the past pilgrimage seasons.

The two parties discussed ways to expand and diversify the areas of partnership to include training, national contributions and qualitative achievements, and research excellence, in which Umm Al-Qura has achieved significant success. This is as well as the research services directly affecting Hajj and Umrah systems.

Al-Hakami noted the UQU President’s keenness to cooperate with the channel and develop Al-Arabiya’s partnership with Umm Al-Qura University, especially since the university has a prominent scientific and spatial standing, and because of its qualitative scientific achievements. He stated that the development of this existing partnership between the two sides will be positively reflected on both parties with regard to the strategic prospects that highlight the scientific achievements of the university, especially in studies that affect the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the service of Hajj and Umrah.
