The UQU College of Applied Medical Sciences programs of physics, medical physics, and mathematical sciences obtained international academic accreditation from the German Academic Accreditation Agency (ASIIN). Consequently, all the programs of the college are now internationally accredited, as the chemistry, biology and microbiology programs obtained this accreditation last October.
The Dean of the College of Applied Sciences, Dr. Hatim Al-Tus, said this achievement has only been reaped through the efforts exerted by the college staff in preparing the study plans and developing the educational courses to comply with international standards, aiming at providing high quality educational services. He then extended his thanks to all those who contributed to this achievement, including; the vice deans, heads of the departments, academic staff, and students.
It is worth mentioning that ASIIN is a federal non-profit German accreditation organization specialized in conferring academic accreditation certificates for Bachelor of Science (BSc.) and Postgraduate Study programs in the natural sciences, mathematics, engineering, and computing. It has extensive experience in the accreditation of academic programs.
