The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Institute for Hajj and Umrah Researches at Umm Al-Qura University (UQU) participates in the events of the Saudi cultural days that are held in the Indonesian capital Jakarta during the period Jumada al-thani 17-21, 1437H. The events are organized by the Ministry of Culture and Mass Communication, represented in the Ministry Vice-Presidency for International Cultural Relations, and will last for 5 days.
The Head of the Department of Researches and Media Affairs at the Institute and Head of the participating delegation, Dr. Othman bin Bakr Qazzaz, denoted that the participation of the institute in these events confirms the eagerness of the UQU to actively participate in local and international activities, and highlights the role of the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in supporting and reinforcing the cultural relations between the KSA and the global community. He also added that the Institute’s participation comes as part of the participation of the cultural delegation of the Ministry of Culture and Mass Communication, headed by the Deputy Minister for Foreign Media, Dr. Abdul Mohsen bin Farouq Elias.
Furthermore, Dr. Qazzaz declared that the Institute presents the Two Holy Mosques through a number of maquettes showing the new expansions that have recently been added to them, in the era of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saoud –May Allah have mercy on him. Moreover, he added that the Institute pavilion highlights the efforts exerted by the Institute in the field of Hajj and Umrah researches and studies that provided suggestions and assistance in the expansion of Al-Masa’a, increasing the capacity of the Circuit, the Kingdom’s project to benefit from the meat of sacrifice, the historical documentation of the well of Zamzam, Al-Jamarat bridge project, and many other research projects.
Besides, Dr. Qazzaz denoted that the visitors of the pavilion will watch a documentary movie on Makkah Al-Mukarramah and the journey of Hajj to Makkah, and will receive souvenirs.
Noteworthy, the participating Institute delegation includes Mr. Mahmoud bin Khaled Qattan, from the Department of Engineering and Urban Research, and Mr. Muhammad Barnawi, from the Institute’s branch in Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah.
