His Royal Highness Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, the Adviser to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Governor of the Makkah Province, in the presence of the Deputy Emir of Makkah Region, His Royal Highness Prince Badr bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, at the seat of the government, witnessed the signing ceremony for the memorandum of understanding between Umm Al-Qura University and the Secretariat of the Holy Capital.
The memorandum, signed by His Excellency the President of the University, Prof. Abdullah Bafail, and His Excellency the Secretary of the Capital, Engineer Muhammad Al-Qwaihis, aims to exchange data for integration in the field of road engineering information; social and family research; and the exchange of data, surveys, statistics and indexes. This is in addition to joint cooperation in conducting, implementing, and refereeing research; and linking the outputs of scientific research to the needs of society.
The memorandum includes developing the skills and capabilities of the university and secretariat employees through participating in training courses and interactive workshops. It also includes opening channels of cooperation between the two parties in the scientific, research and technical fields, in order to achieve positive integration and an exchange of experience between the two parties to improve the quality of services provided to the citizen.
