The "Nutrition Update" training course was launched on Saturday 4th Rabi''I 1438H (3rd December 2016) at Crown Plaza Hotel in Madinah, for male and female nutrition specialists and students, as well as nutrition employees at the Madinah -based Ministry of Health (MOH).
The course was organized within the framework of activities and events of the current academic year 1437-1437H by the Departments of Clinical Nutrition and Laboratory Medicine at the College of Applied Medical Sciences at Umm Al-Qura University (UQU). It was also encouraged by Dr. Ahmad bin Muhammad Eshi, Dean of the College, with the aim of activating the role of AMS staff members for the service of community and development of the health level in KSA. In addition, the course was launched in cooperation with both Training Center for Healthy Training and Health Balance center for Nutrition Therapy. It also witnessed the participation of Prof. Dr. Islam Ahmad Haidar (Department of Clinical Nutrition) and both Prof. Dr. Muhammad As-Sayyed Al-Boushy and Dr. Nasser Ahmad As-Sawy (Department of Laboratory Medicine). Moreover, it was supported by Dr. Ibrahim Abdullah Al-Oreify, Center Manager, and Prof. Emad Ahmad Lotfy Abbas, General Coordinator of the course.
