On Monday, in King Abdulaziz Support Hall, the College of Applied Medical Sciences at Umm Al-Qura University celebrated the winners of the scientific research awards of the faculty members and students of the college, and excellent internship students expected to graduate by the end of the academic year 1441 A.H. The ceremony was attended by the Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Abdul-Wahab Al-Resini, the Dean of the College of Applied Medical Sciences, Dr. Ayman Al-Saigh, and a number of the university staff members and students.
Dr. Ayman Al-Saigh, Dean of the College of Applied Medical Sciences, stated that the ceremony sheds light on the distinguished members of the academic departments of the faculty and students, who have exerted their efforts for scientific and research excellence. He noted that the award is created by the College for Scientific Research and distinguished publications, and to be granted to the most proliferating researchers who publish in journals with the highest impact factor, and the best student research in the Department of Physical Therapy, the Clinical Nutrition Department, and the Department of Laboratory Medicine, in addition to the best research in the areas of Hajj and Umrah.
Dr. Al-Saigh commended the support, follow-up, and interest of the President of Umm Al-Qura University, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, towards the distinguished faculty members and students of the College of Applied Medical Sciences.
At the end of the ceremony, the Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research honored the top three researchers from each of the three prize categories, as well as honoring outstanding students of the college from the first classes of the internship year.
