Hajj & Umrah Institute Invites the Concerned to Forum 17

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Institute for Hajj and Umrah Research at Umm Al-Qura University (UQU) invited the academics, researchers and affiliates of the national and governmental bodies to present their research summaries to the Seventeenth Scientific Forum of Hajj, Umrah and Visit Researches which will be held during next Shaaban in Madinah.

Dr. Hamzah bin Ahmad Mahmoud Ghalman, Dean of the Institute, clarified that the deadline of receiving researches would be on Friday 15th Rabi’II 1438H. Participants can present their researches via the website of the Forum: ([email protected]).

On the other hand, Dr. Ghalman explained that the Forum discussed eight topics: 1) doctrine of Hajj, Umrah, Visit and Administration, 2) economy, 3) construction, 4) engineering, environment and health, 5) awareness and mass communication, 6) technologies and applications thereof, 7) initiatives and their effect on achievements of services and utilities development, 8) community participation in the service of pilgrims and visitors to the Mosque of the Prophet (PBUH).

Dr. Ghalman also noted that priority of research demonstration at the Forum’s sessions would be given to those that contributed to raising performance indicators to fulfill the objectives of National Transformation (20/20) in the domains of Hajj, Umrah and Visit. Such objectives stressed the significance of joint action to increase facilitation of hosting, receiving procedures of and providing high quality services to pilgrims and visitors.
