Under the sponsorship of His Excellency the UQU President, Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, the Public Relations and Media Department participated with the Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship in a forum entitled, "Umm Al-Qura University Heading Towards Innovation", which came in conjunction with the Global Entrepreneurship Week. The forum was held on Tuesday, 22 Rabi` Al-Awwal, 1440 A.H., in King Abdul-Aziz Historical Hall, in the presence of the vice deans, deans, faculty members, and UQU employees.

The forum witnessed the signing of a qualitative agreement between the Institute of Consulting Research and Studies and the Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship to launch an Executive Diploma in Innovation Management. The talks during the forum's sessions centered on the role of entrepreneurship and innovation under the new university law. The forum aims to support creativity and innovation. At the end of the event, all participating bodies were honored.
