His Excellency Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, the President of Umm Al-Qura University, yesterday, Tuesday, launched an initiative entitled, ‘Rikaz’ at Wadi Makkah Technology Company. This initiative aims at linking individuals with entrepreneurs, coinciding with the Global Entrepreneurship Week. This event was attended by the Chief Executive Officer of Wadi Makkah for Technology, Dr. Faisal Allaf, and the Chief Executive Officer of Wadi Makkah Real Estate Company, Dr. Wadie Al-Barqawi.

The ‘Rikaz’ initiative is concerned with creating a pioneer environment that achieves the vision 2030, and supports the youth by offering lectures, hosting entrepreneurs, and organizing workshops and the accompanying activities, as a way of fulfilling the social responsibility of the center.

The initiative also aims at serving the knowledge-based economy through partnerships between research and the educational institutions, and the business community, as well as promoting investment on commercial bases by improving the skills and experiences of the academic staff members and the students of the university.

The ‘Rikaz’ initiative, today and tomorrow, will host specialized speakers in entrepreneurship who will display the mechanism of distinction in creating initiatives, seizing opportunities, and managing entrepreneur projects flexibly, in addition to the ways of making use of strong enthusiasm, transforming it to a means of achieving profit and commercial gains in the labor market.
