President of Umm Al Qura University (UQU) Dr. Bakri Bin M'atoog Bin Bakri Assas met on Tuesday, Rabei' Al Awal 28, 1438H with Chairman of the Saudi Scientific Society for Arabic Literature Dr. Dhaffer Ghrman Al Omari.

During the meeting, Dr. Assas received a copy of the first book published by the society under the title “Text Coherence – Theoretical Study of Poetic Texts” by Dr. Moussa Al Zahrani.

Dr. Al Omari extended thanks of the society’s board for Dr. Assas who supported the scientific organization to accomplish its mission.

The president saluted the society on its scientific productions, saying this is part of a mission to spread knowledge in the field of Arabic literature. He praised board’s efforts wishing them more success.

In the same context, Dr. Al Omari voiced happiness for the support and attention paid by the UQU President. He said the book is step one on way for more Arabic literature projects which would serve writers and researchers.

The Text Coherence Book is a research study that was edited and compiled for acquiring a PhD Degree in the field of Rhetoric and Literature Criticism from the Postgraduate Studies Department, College of Arabic Language at Umm Al-Qura University.

The society, and sister affiliates, works under direct supervision of the UQU which creates an enabling environment and provides the necessary tools to that end. (MENA)
