Yesterday, Tuesday, the UQU Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship organized an internal preparatory workshop to discuss the most important topics related to the "Umm Al-Qura University Towards Innovation Forum" scheduled on Tuesday, 22 Rabi` Al-Awwal, 1440 A.H., in conjunction with Global Entrepreneurship Week. The event is sponsored by His Excellency the President of Umm Al-Qura University, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, and will be held at King Abdul-Aziz Historical Hall, Al-Abdiyyah.
The UQU 'Towards Innovation Forum' aims to support creativity, and stimulate the university community to innovate through various events: workshops on successful entrepreneurship, introduction to e-marketing, and entrepreneurial and startup cultures, in addition to sessions on design thinking, and forms of modeling, manufacturing, and 3-D designs.
The Dean of the Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Dr. Muwaffaq Urijah, stated that the aim of the preliminary workshop was to introduce the activities of the institute, as well as the different training programs on innovation and entrepreneurship. The workshop was attended by male and female vice deans of development and entrepreneurship at UQU. In addition, there was a discussion on the development details related to the Graduation Project Competition for university students, and the Entrepreneurship Competition for colleges in various university branches.
