UQU Vice-President: “Deposit Students’ Rewards Next Week”

Dr. Yasser bin Suleiman Shushu, UQU Vice-President, confirmed that the rewards of the students for the months Safar and Rabi’ al-awwal will be deposited next week- God’s willing. He also denoted that all required measures have been taken to disburse the rewards in a timely manner, however, the delay was out of the will of the university administration. Besides, he said that all belated financial benefits of the university staff and members of departments’ councils, faculties and permanent committees, as well as the bonuses, overtime and others; as per the laws and regulations in place, will be disbursed during the coming weeks.

This announcement has been made by Dr. Shushu during his inspection tour to a number of departments that are concerned with closing the budget of the university for the financial year 1437/1438H. Dr. Shushu, also, assured that all tasks assigned to the employees of these departments should be accomplished before the end of the financial year.

Moreover, Dr. Shushu praised the efforts exerted by the employees at these departments to improve the process of disbursing the salaries of the faculties’ members and employees, the rewards of the students, and other financial obligations, along with allocating the budget to the faculties after having it approved, and supporting different deanships and departments. He also added that the positive impact of these efforts will contribute to creating a better educational environment at the university at many levels such as, equipping the classrooms with the latest equipment, and delivering training programs for the university employees and the faculties’ members.

It is worth mentioning that the inspection visits of Dr. Shushu included the following departments: Planning and Budgeting, Human Resources, Operating Maintenance and Services, Finance, and Procurement and Tenders. During the visits, Dr. Shushu met the managers and the employees of these departments, praised their efforts, and urged them to do their best to contribute to improving UQU and enabling it to become among world’s top universities.
