His Excellency the UQU President Receives the Annual Report of the Joint First Year Deanship

His Excellency the UQU President, Prof. Abdullah Bafail, at his office in Al-Abdiyyah yesterday, Sunday, received the annual report of the achievements of the Joint First Year Deanship for the previous academic year, 1439–1440 A.H. This was during his meeting with the Dean of the Joint First Year, Dr. Saad bin Saeed Al-Ghamdi, the male and female vice deans of the deanships, and the Administrative Director, in the presence of the Vice President for Educational Affairs, Prof. Abdul-Aziz bin Rashad Suruji.

His Excellency praised the efforts exerted by the Joint First Year Deanship, which have yielded tangible successes for the deanship and helped to fulfill its role as a link that promotes the integration of the public and university education institutionally under the umbrella of the University Vice Presidency for Educational Affairs.

The report documented the achievements of the deanship in its various vice deanships, statistics for the academic and administrative staff of the deanship in its various headquarters, as well as the various activities, events and training courses organized by the academic units supporting the deanship for its various employees. The report also included programs that embody the active role of the deanship in the service of the university and the Makkah society, which entrenches the spirit of social responsibility among its students, as well as the most important proposals and recommendations that map the road for the aspirations of the deanship in the coming period, in line with the strategic plan of the University of Umm Al-Qura and the Saudi Vision 2030.

On his part, Dr. Saad Al-Ghamdi expressed his appreciation for the interest of His Excellency Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, President of Umm Al-Qura University, for his unlimited support for the Joint First Year Deanship, and his keenness that the deanship achieves its desired goals, noting the efforts of the deanship's male and female vice deans and all the deanship staff in serving all the students.
