Research Forum Wraps Up Decisions on 16 Research Papers

The the first round of the Scientific Research Forum on Tuesday, Rabi' Al Awwal 21 wrapped up three seminars during which participants discussed up to 16 research papers. The discussions were held at the UQU campus in Al-Abdiyah and at Al Gawhara Hall in girls section.

The researchers kicked off discussion in the fourth session - titled "Research Groups and National Economy" - which was chaired by Vice-President for Branches Dr. Abdulmajeed bin Saeed Al Ghamdi.

During the scientific debate, CEO of Wadi Makkah Osama bin Rashid Al-Omari presented a working paper dubbed "Wadi Makkah: From the Scientific Research and Creativity to the Labor Market". In the same session, Dr. Talha bint Hussein Fadaaq presented a study under the theme "Research Groups at the Local, Regional and World Levels".

The third research paper was put for discussion by Dr. Sumayyah bint Ezzat Al Sharaf. It was themed "The Role Played by the Knowledge Economy and Research Groups - Descriptive View". The session was closed after another study was presented by Dr. Agadir bint Salem Al Aydarus on a strategy to refresh research projects in Saudi Universities as an engine of the economy development in light of the national vision requirements.

During the fifth session which was held under the title "Ethics of Scientific Research between Reality and Expectations", Dr. Sulleiman Shosho chaired a meeting to discuss a number of research papers. Dr. Ghazi bin Morshed Al-Otaibi sparked a discussion on a paper titled "Research Ethics Violations - Examples and Reasons". In the same context, Dr. Suhail Bajamal presented a study on "Ethics of making research studies on living creatures".

The third paper was raised by Dr. Haifa bint Othman Feda under the name "Research Rules and Regulations in UQU - Vision and Ambition". Another research paper, dubbed "Ethics of Scientific Research and Ugly Financial Exploitation by Open Sourced Journals, Magazines and Unreal Conference". The session closed discussion by a study presented by Dr. Fayzah bint Mohamed Al Maghraby under the name "Suggested Draft Research Ethics for Female Students at Saudi Universities".

A separate session dubbed "Research Chair - Productivity and Funding" was held under the chairmanship of Vice-President for Educational Affairs Abdul-Aziz bin Rashad Al-Srouji. Six research papers were raised for discussion including a study presented by Dr. Abdel Wahab Al Raseni under the theme "Research Chairs and Procedures of Establishment".

Meanwhile, Dr. Hani Al Moalem submitted a research named "How can a research chair succeed in the university?". Also, Dr. Abdullah Al Sharif discussed a study named "Research chairs - Funding and Production". Dr. Yahiah Zamzami and Dr. Altaf bint Mohamed Abdel Khaleq discussed two studies named "Research chairs - Production and Funding" and Research chairs: Components and Indicators of Success". The six research paper was presented by Dr. Enas bint Khalaf Al Khaledi under the theme "Role of the Saudi Vision 2030 in increasing productivity and finance of research chairs".
