The College of Health Sciences at Al-Leith, Umm Al-Qura University, represented by the Public Health Department and the Infection Control Department at King Faisal Hospital in Makkah, participated in the events of the International Infection Prevention Week, which come under the slogan "A Clean Healthy Environment Combats Infection". The events of the week started on Thursday, 17 October 2019, and continued until Thursday, 24 October 2019.
The college participation included a lecture on "Injection Safety", delivered by His Excellency Dr. Muhammad Ahmad Fouad within the activities of the second day.
Injection safety is one of the main issues that all health workers should be aware of; ignorance or negligence on the part of health workers poses a serious risk to the safety of patients.
