Represented by the College of Business Administration, Umm Al-Qura University (UQU) organized a workshop titled, "Welcome to the World of Hospitality," in cooperation with Makkah Marriott Hotel on Monday 13^th Rabi'I 1438H. The workshop was attended by Dr. Sultan bin Ayed al-Buqami, Dean of the College of Business Administration.  

Dr. Ali bin Ahmad Al-Qasim, Head of Tourism and Hotels Department, launched the workshop by welcoming male and female colleagues (i.e. UQU professors and BA students).

Then, the BA College Dean gave a directive speech to his male and female students, in which he stressed the significance of science and the role BA College played in both knowledge transfer and student preparation for labor market. He also accentuated the marvelous attention paid by the President of UQU towards the BA College, its students and affiliates.

Afterwards, the workshop was started by the Human Resources Director at Marriot Hotel. He talked about a lot of significant elements to students, such as the importance of the Hotel Sector internationally and locally, Hospitality Sector in KSA Vision 2030, Saudi youth staffing in the Hospitality Sector, saudization of departments, privacy allowed by hotels to Saudi women who worked in the sector, available opportunities in hotels for BA students, and employment-ended training.      

Within the same framework, the workshop was attended by more than 120 male and female students from all the College's departments. It was enriched with their questions to, intervention and interaction with the lecturers.
