World Development Information Day is an important event intended to inform world public opinion about development problems and discuss solutions. In order to launch this occasion at Jamoum University College, a number of female students from the Department of Media, Development Media Course, under the supervision of Dr. Kholoud Al-Hazmi, established an awareness corner entitled "Development Media". It will open at 10 a.m. on Thursday, 25 Safar 1441 A.H. in the lobby of the college.

The students were introduced to World Development Information Day and the benefit of adopting this date on 24 October each year. Demonstrating the importance of media in development, the corner aims to measure awareness of the role of media in the development taking place in Saudi Arabia and to communicate information to the largest possible segment of the university community. The corner was accompanied by several tools that contribute to the achievement of the desired target, such as questionnaires, publications, and demo videos.
