UQU Internal Audit Checks Readiness of Islamic Economics College

The Internal Audit and Technical Support Group at Umm Al-Qura University (UQU) paid an inspection visit to the College of Islamic Economics and Finance on Sunday 10th Rabi'I 1438H. The visit aimed at checking the readiness of the College for the AACSB and EPAS-EFMD, making sure that the requirements of the NCAAA were met, as well as giving support and advice. In other words, the Internal Audit Group made sure that the College programs had completed the UQU AACSB and EPAS-EFMD requirements that had been necessary at the levels of academic colleges and departments. The visit also targeted provision of answers to the queries by the College affiliates to the Audit Group about AACSB, EPAS-EFMD and NCAAA. 

The event started with the opening session and the speech by Dr. Saleh Al-Aqla, Dean of the College of Islamic Economics and Finance, in which he welcomed the UQU Internal Audit Group. Then, a presentation was given on the College's efforts, under the leadership of its Dean, to build its internal quality system and prepare for admission to the national and international accreditations.    

The visit was participated in by Dr. Abdurrahman bin Nowaifii' Al-Salmi, Vice-Dean of University Development and Quality. Moreover, the Internal Audit Group included the vice-deans and advisors at the Deanship of University Development and Quality, as well as UQU cooperative experts.  

At the end of the visit, the Internal Audit Group delivered a brief report thereof. It also promised to deliver a detailed report about the level of all the College's programs. It extended thanks to the Dean, and all affiliates, of the College of Islamic Economics and Finance for their efforts in cooperation with the Visiting Group.
