Prof. Abdul-Wahab Al-Resini, UQU Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, today (Thursday) met, on behalf of His Excellency the UQU President, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, a delegation from the Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University in Brunei headed by Dr. Ziad Abdul-Razzaq, Director of Postgraduate Programs at the Halalan Thayyiban Research Center at Sultan Sharif University.

After Dr. Al-Resini's welcomed the visiting delegation, all attendees watched a visual presentation of all the programs, colleges, institutes and research centers affiliated with Umm Al-Qura University.

The guests listened to the role played by the university on the global level, including providing scholarships for about 40 nationalities all over the world to study Arabic language and Islamic Studies.

The UQU Vice President assured that the university is distinguished by programs in postgraduate studies with diverse specializations. In addition, he expressed his willingness to cooperate with the Sultan Islamic University in a number of educational and research fields, especially in aspects of postgraduate studies and research.

On his part, Dr. Ziad Abdul-Razzaq referred to the role played by Umm Al-Qura University and its scientific and research position in humanities, Islamic and scientific fields. Further, he referred to the possibility of widening cooperation with Umm Al-Qura University to gain more experience in several fields.

Trophies and souvenirs were exchanged between the two sides, and the tour was concluded by visiting Wadi Makkah Technology Company, identifying its programs, activities and fields of startup companies, as well as its meaningful research and its scientific projects and innovations.
