Waddi Makkah opened its Sensor Laboratory at the Startup Center in Al-Abdiyah to teach Special Topics Subject for students of Computer Engineering Department at UQU Computer College under direct supervision of the Special Topics Professor Sohaib Khan.
Internet of Things (IoT) is the main topic that students learn and through which they have a chance to make and show the projects and prototypes of new ideas at Waddi Makkah sensor laboratory.
The laboratory is equipped with the latest sophisticated devices making it the best place for students, researchers and creative people inside and outside the university.
Deputy Chairman of the Company Dr. Nabil bin Abdul Qader Koshak said he was happy for the fruitful cooperation between Waddi Makkah and the College of Computer and Information Systems.
He invited other colleges, staff members and students to visit the center and benefit from its services. He gave public recognition for efforts exerted by President of Umm Al Qura University Dr. Bakri Bin M'atoog Bin Bakri Assas who played a major role in establishing and equipping the lab.
With regard to the same thing, Head of the Computer Engineering Department Dr. Ayman Al Rahily said giving the chance to students to practice Special Topics subjects via workable activities is a fruitful step that opens the door for more progress.
He thanked Dean of the College Dr. Fahd Al Dosari for supporting the cooperation between the college and Waddi Makkah. He was keen to make all efforts result in new benefits for the students, Al Rahily said.
