Under the guidance of the Dean of the College of Health Sciences in Al-Qunfudhah , Prof. Omar bin Abdullah Al-Hazzazi, the College held a training course entitled: “First Aid Skills”, for the students of the joint preparatory year of the medical stream in Al-Qunfudhah, on Wednesday, 17 Safar 1441 A.H. The training was conducted at the Emergency Medical Services Department at the College, under the supervision of Prof. Ashraf Ewais and the assistance of the teaching assistant Muhammad Abdulaziz Al-Faqih and the teaching assistant Muhammad Jilani Al-Marhabi. The training included how to deal with epistaxis, different types of wounds, fractures, burns and cases of chocking, as well as how to deal with cases of fainting and diabetic coma. It also included how to open the airway and perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
At the end of the course, His Excellency Dr. Naif Abdullah Al-Suhaimi, Vice Dean of the College of Health Sciences in Al-Qunfudhah, and Dr. Murhaf Fouad Qarni, Vice Dean for Hospital Affairs, attended the event to thank the supervisors for their active and positive role in making many courses like this, wishing them future success.
