UQU President Receives Annual Report on Medical Center

Umm Al-Qura University President, His Highness Dr. Bakry bin Matuq Assass, the annual report for 1437 H on the university medical center on Sunday, 12th Rabi' al-awwal 1438H.

The report was handed over by the university vice-president, Yasser bin Suleiman Shosho and the General Manager of the University Medical Center, Dr. Hassan bin Hassan Bahkim at the university president office at student hostel of Abdiya.

Bahkim gave a detailed explanation on the content of the report, the treatment mechanism and scope of service provided by the center. Bahkim referred to those statistics contained at the report on number of beneficiaries, branches at female students locations, supportive services such as labs, scan units, pharmacies and physiotherapy units.

The report talks, also, about the internal and external activities and participations by the center and its staff as well as the awareness and enlightening programs and events organized by the center during the elapsed year, added Bahkim.

He touched upon the new medical services and procedures clarifying that males and females currently receive medicine from segregated partitions, a new segregated room was allotted at the lab to take blood samples from males, two new outpatient dentistry clinics were created and the center was equipped with a “3D” Panoramic X-Ray device to provide the advanced x-ray inspection to users.

Assass appreciated efforts of those who are responsible for the center and their outstanding role in providing the medical and treatment services to students, faculty members and staff. He expressed thanks and appreciation to the university vice-president, Dr. Shosho and the center staff under the supervision of the center general manager, Dr. Bahkim. Assass wished more success for the center staff in performance of their duties to serve Umm Al-Qura University and its staff.

Bahkim, in his turn, expressed thanks and gratitude, in his name and on behalf of the center staff, to his highness, the university president for his continuous support and permanent instructions to raise level of medical and treatment services provided by the center.

We appreciate the continuous efforts and follow-up by the university vice-president, Dr. Shosho, of the center to help the latter perform its duties and to enhance its role to serve this high educational edifice “Umm Al-Qura University”.
