His Royal Highness Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, the Adviser to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Governor of the Makkah Province, witnessed, at the Emirate headquarters in Jeddah, the signing of the memorandum of understanding between the Muslim World League and Umm Al-Qura University, represented by Wadi Makkah for Technology, to establish the Permanent International Exhibition and Museum of the Prophet's Biography and Islamic Civilization at Al-Faysaliyah.
The memorandum was signed by the Secretary General of the Muslim World League, Dr. Muhammad Al-Eissa, and His Excellency the President of Umm Al-Qura University and the Chairman of the Board of Wadi Makkah for Technology, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail.
The memorandum aims at promoting cooperation between the two sides to contribute in spreading details on the Prophet's biography and informing people about him, and displaying the true brilliant image of Islam through establishing a permanent international museum and exhibition in Makkah Al-Mukarramah, in Al-Abdiyyah. This project will be called, "The Permanent International Exhibition and Museum of the Prophet's Biography and Islamic Civilization". Its establishment will keep pace with the necessity of informing people about the advantages and merits of Islam, and will serve as a comprehensive introduction on the biography of the Seal of Prophets and Messengers, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), and his sublime message and tolerant Shari`ah, with wisdom and knowledge, using the most modern methods and technologies. It also aims at showing the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in serving the Glorious Qur'an, the Honorable Sunnah, and the Two Holy Mosques, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz (may Allah safeguard them).
By virtue of this memorandum, Wadi Makkah Technology Company will invest its experience in developing and managing projects and using modern technologies to operate the museum and the exhibition. This will be with the aim of serving the role and the aspirations of the Muslim World League in pointing out the reality of the Islamic Da`wah, building bridges of Islamic and human cooperation, informing about Islam, pointing out its true worth and tolerant values, according to what is mentioned in the Glorious Qur'an and the purified Sunnah, firmly establishing the concepts of moderation, caring for cultural communication, spreading the culture of dialogue, and associating all these matters with the Prophet's biography and the deeply-rooted Islamic civilization.
