Tomorrow the "Volunteer Work in the Service of the Guests of Allah" Forum Will Be Launched

Tomorrow, Monday, the Deputy Governor of the Region, Dr. Hisham bin Abdul-Rahman Al-Falih, will launch the first meeting of the Coordinating Group for Hajj Volunteer Work, under the noble patronage of the Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Prince of Makkah region, Prince Khalid Al-Faisal. The forum was formed by order of His Highness the Minister of Interior, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud Al Saud, and was organized by the College of Medicine at the University of Umm Al-Qura in partnership with government and private entities, under the title of "Volunteer Work in the Service of the Guests of Allah" forum.

The Dean of the College of Medicine, Dr. Abdul-Salam bin Abdul-Rahman Nour Wali, said that the forum, which will be held in King Abdulaziz Historical Hall, aims at highlighting the leading role of the Saudi Kingdom in the field of volunteering and humanitarian work, and enhancing the complementary relationship between all parties involved in the group coordinating volunteer efforts in the areas of volunteering. The forum also aims at consolidating intellectual and social security by spreading the culture of volunteerism in society.

The Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Dr. Asim bin Muhammad Al-Shanbari, pointed out that the forum will discuss the impact of integration among the volunteer entities to provide distinctive volunteer services to the pilgrims of Allah's House, and to promote the culture of volunteer work.

He added that the forum targets the attraction of volunteers from all government and charitable voluntary organizations, as well as members of the Hajj Voluntary Coordinating Team, voluntary associations and committees supervised by the Ministry of Labor and Social Development, non-profit media organizations specialized in volunteering and charitable work, and specialists in the field of voluntary and charitable work in Saudi universities.
