His Excellency Dr. Alawi Muhammad Bamahdi, Dean of the College of Engineering in Al-Qunfudhah, participated in the celebration of the 89th National Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which was held by Al-Qunfudhah University College, represented by the Vice Deanship of Student Affairs in Al-Qunfudhah. The ceremony was held under the patronage of the Deputy of Al-Qunfudhah Governorate, Mr. Eid Al-Zubaidi, in the presence of the UQU Vice President for Development and Entrepreneurship, Dr. Hani Ghazi, the Dean of Al-Qunfudhah University College, Prof. Omar Al-Hazzazi, the Vice Dean of Development and Quality, Dr. Dhiab Al-Malki, the Dean of the Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Dr. Muwaffaq Uraijah, the Dean of the Institute of Consulting Research and Studies, Dr. Ali Al-Sha`iri, and the Vice Dean of Information Technology, Dr. Majid Farrash.

The ceremony began with the royal anthem, followed by a speech given by the Vice Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Muhammad bin Ahmad Al-Mat-hami. Next, the biography of King Salman was presented by the student Ahmad Al-Husni. The audience then watched a movie entitled, "My Glory Belongs to You", and then the operetta, "Home of Glory".

The UQU Vice President for Development and Entrepreneurship, Dr. Hani Ghazi, gave a speech on the occasion of the National Day in which he congratulated the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and the Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud (may Allah protect them). He also supplicated Allah to perpetuate the security and safety of this beloved country under the reign of its wise leadership.

At the end of the ceremony, government bodies were honored as well as students and the student clubs participating in the accompanying exhibition, which consisted of 15 government bodies and 3 student clubs in the branch. The audience then visited the accompanying exhibition organized by the College of Engineering on the occasion of the 89th National Day.
