His Excellency the UQU's President, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, today, Tuesday, launched: "The Electronic Portal for Submission of the Initiatives". The portal is implemented by the UQU's Initiatives Management and Vision Realization Office, and is considered the first electronic portal of its kind to submit the initiatives as an automated system. The event took place in the presence of the general supervisor of the office, Dr. Ihab Malibari.

His Excellency the UQU's President listened to a detailed explanation about the mechanism of the work of the portal, aiming at assisting the university's employees in crystallizing their ideas into initiatives in preparation for them being reviewed by the Initiatives Management and Vision Realization Office before being submitted to the vision's programs and sponsors.

Dr. Ihab Malibari pointed out that this portal enables the university to establish a bank for the initiatives, for submitting initiatives in the vision's different programs, and to benefit from such a bank whenever needed. He added that the portal will enable the entrepreneurs, relying on a unified system, to enter the data of the initiatives, whether basic, technical or financial data. The system will then, on behalf of the entrepreneur, generate all the data that can be calculated, such as the capital and operational budget, the timetables and their plans. Next, the system will automatically put the initiative in the required form template using the targeted program, and create the initiative's file automatically, in a manner ensuring that the entrepreneur concentrates on the scientific and artistic content of the initiative. Dr. Ihab Malibari appreciated the support and directions of His Excellency UQU's president for all the programs and activities of the initiatives office.

On his part, UQU's President, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, highlighted the efforts of the Initiatives Management and Vision Realization Office, and its keenness on completing its activities and programs using modern technological techniques that help in achieving goals.
