The College of Engineering in Al-Qunfudhah Participates in the New Students Forum (1440–1441)

Under the patronage of His Excellency the Governor of Al-Qunfudhah, Mr. Fada bin Bayin Al-Buqami, and under the theme of 'Confident Start', the College of Engineering in Al-Qunfudhah, represented by His Excellency Dr. Alawi bin Muhammad Bamahdi, the Dean of the College, Dr. Ubaid Ghazi Al-Hadariti, the Vice Dean of the College of Engineering for Development and Entrepreneurship, and the college students, participated in the inauguration of the New Students Forum held by the Vice Deanship of Student Affairs in Al-Qunfudhah. The forum was attended by the deans of the colleges in Al-Qunfudhah Branch.

The corners of the forum included those of the Vice Deanship of Student Affairs, Academic Advising, the Deanship of Library Affairs, the academic departments, and the Joint First Year Deanship, as well as the corners of the academic departments, the joint first year, and the student clubs (the Engineering Club, the Scouts Club, and the University College Club), and the corner of the issuance of UQU IDs.

The forum aimed to introduce new students to the nature of the new approaching university life, and the work carried out by the UQU colleges and supportive deanships. In addition, the forum aimed to raise students' awareness about their rights and duties, as well as the services of the student clubs.

After the tour, the ceremony started with a recitation of the Qur'an, followed by a speech given by His Excellency the Vice Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Muhammad bin Ahmad Al-Mat-hami, and then the speech of the Governor of Al-Qunfudhah. At the end of the event, the deans of the participating colleges and the sponsor of the event were honored. 

It is worth mentioning that the forum lasted for three days, and included a number of training, theatrical and recreational activities, as well as meetings with the officials of different colleges.
