His Excellency the President of Umm Al-Qura University, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, today at his office, presented 20 instructors at the English Language Center certified teacher certificates from the Oxford's Digital Learning Platform "Teach Cast". The meeting was attended by Dr. Abdulaziz bin Rashad Suruji, the University Vice President for Educational Affairs; Dr. Sami bin Muhammad Ghalib Atraji, the Head of the English Language Center and the Director of the English Language Learning for Community Development Initiative; the directors of the initiative; and the Manager of the Office for the Director of the English Language Center.

At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Sami Atraji addressed the audience, saying that these 20 instructors were the first to obtain these certificates, awarded by Yellowstone Institute, from outside the United States of America. This was a direct achievement of the partnership existing since 2017 between the English Language Learning for Community Development Initiative, which is one of the initiatives of the National Transformation Program 2020 and which is offered at UQU, and the "Teach Cast with Oxford" Establishment and Eleutian, a US-based higher education technology provider. He highlighted the care provided by His Excellency the UQU President, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, and the UQU Vice President for Educational Affairs, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Rashad Suruji, to the English Language Center and its programs.

On his part, the UQU President expressed his thanks and appreciation to all those who contributed to this program and to the qualification of these instructors, a matter which will contribute (Allah willing) to the development of the outcomes of the English Language Center. He then praised the role of the UQU Vice Presidency for Educational Affairs and its keenness in achieving such development.
