42 Research Studies in Hajj Highlight the Efforts of Umm Al-Qura University at the Forum of Hajj and Umrah

Umm Al-Qura University participated in the Forum and Exhibition of Hajj and Umrah organized by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah during the period 25-27 Dhul-Hijjah, 1440 A.H., in honor of the Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Prince of Makkah Al-Mukarramah, Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, at Jeddah Center for Conferences and Exhibitions.

The President of Umm Al-Qura University, Prof Abdullah Bafail, pointed out that the participation of the university in the said forum and the accompanying exhibition was distinguished by the great services offered to the pilgrims, performers of Umrah, and visitors of the Great Mosque of Makkah and Al-Masjid Al-Nabawi in the research and consultation aspects that are related to the systems of Hajj and Umrah, in addition to the training and volunteering programs and the logistic services.

His Excellency appreciated the support and care given to Umm Al-Qura University by the wise leadership (may Allah support them) for the educational and research services. In addition, he remarked that the university, through its community mission towards the service of Hajj and Umrah, worked on the implementation of 42 research studies and programs during the 1440 A.H. Hajj season, and the recruitment of 1100 male and female students as volunteers in the fields of health, translation, and raising the awareness of the pilgrims.

The Supervisor of UQU's pavilion and the Dean of the Institute of Consulting Research and Studies, Dr. Ali Al-Sha`iri, affirmed that UQU's participation entailed all the university's bodies that worked in serving Hajj and Umrah, including the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Institute for Hajj and Umrah Research, the medical colleges participating in health volunteering, the Media Center, Wadi Makkah Co. for Technology, and Umm Al-Qura Oasis for Consultations.
