Dr. Abdulmajeed bin Saeed Al Ghamdi started his first day in office as Vice-President for Branches on Sunday, Safar 27, 1438H.

President of Umm Al Qura University (UQU) Dr. Bakri Bin M'atoog Bin Bakri Assas issued issued an order to appoint Dr. Al Ghamdi as a vice-president for three years as of Safar 24, 1438H. 

The VP has toured a number of departments while being accompanied with head of his office Mr. Khalid Al Hazimi and head of the Public Relations Department Mr. Khalid bin Jamil Morsi.

He inspected work at many departments including the University Security Department. During a visit, he met with Chief Security Official Mr. Nabil Madayn and employees to get acquainted with the latest developments of work.

Later, he visited the Department of Operation and Services and held talks with its director Eng. Abdel Mohsen Al Ahmedy and listened to notes on the department's needs. He closed his field tour by a visit the Housing Department and met its top executive Eng. Hani Wazan to disucss mechanisms used in work.

The VP urged employees to keep committed to hard work and to serve the university under an integrated system to improve services.

Following the visits, he extended thanks to UQU President for his decision to appoint him as his vice-president.

He prayed to Allah to help him carry out the duty and improve services provided by the university according to the aspiration of Saudi leaders.

Also, he voiced thanks to former vice-president Dr. Mohamed bin Wasel Al Hazemi and Vice-President Dr. Yasser bin Sulleiman Shosho.

Field tours would be made on schedule to follow up smooth operation at various departments, he added.
